Believe God
Updated: Sep 7, 2023
Father, we thank you for the blessing of today. We ask for understanding and open hearts as we read and share the Word In Jesus Name. Today's lead Scripture is from John 8:32 NKJV and it says,
"And you shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free."
AMEN.
The truth that Jesus is speaking of is the truth that God, the Father is love and He sent His One and Only Son to save the world by dying for our sins. When you believe in this truth by taking the confession of faith and are water baptised, you become a new creation with eternal life, who is reconciled to the Father (2 Corinthians 5:17) and the Son makes you free (John 8:36) from death and every lie of the enemy in this world.
So when God says in His Word that He has loved you with an everlasting love (Jeremiah 31:3), His love is established truth that is not based on your actions. When He says, "you are fearfully and wonderfully made" (Psalm 139:14), it is truth. When God says, "you have been given everything pertaining to life and godliness"(2 Peter 1:3), it is truth. When God says, "you have every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places because you are united with Christ Jesus" (Ephesians 1:3), it is truth. When God says, "your children shall be taught by the LORD and great shall be their peace" (Isaiah 54:13), it is truth. When the Father says, "He will never leave you nor forsake you" (Hebrews 13:5-6), it is truth. When the LORD says, "no weapon formed against you shall prosper and every tongue that rises against you in judgement, you shall condemn" (Isaiah 54:17), it is truth. When He says, you are blessed and every work of your hands is blessed, it is truth. When He says, He is your Maker, Your Husband and Redeemer (Isaiah 54:5), it is truth. When God says, He no longer has a consciousness of your sins because they have been removed by the blood of Jesus Christ when you are saved (Hebrews 10:2), it is established truth. When God says, approach "His throne of grace with bold confidence so that you may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need" (Hebrews 4:16), it is truth. When He says, "you are holy and without blame before him in love" (Ephesians 1:4), it is truth. When He says you are beholding the glory of the Lord and your image is being transformed from glory to glory as by the Spirit of the Lord (2 Corinthians 3:18), it is truth. When you choose that, "for you and your household shall serve the Lord" (Joshua 24:15), it becomes established truth for you and your household. When He says "abide in Him and He will abide in you"(John 15:4) , it is truth. When He says, He will renew the strength of them that wait on Him (Isaiah 40:31), it is truth. When He says, "...you have been given the spirit of power, love and a sound mind" (2 Timothy 1:7), it is truth. When the Father says He does not sleep nor slumber because He's watching over you (Psalm 121:4), it is truth. When He says, that He will strengthen and protect us from the evil one (2 Thessalonians 3:3), it is truth. When He promises that you will find Him when you look for Him wholeheartedly (Jeremiah 29:13), it is truth. When He says, "with long life, He will satisfy us..." (Psalm 91:16), it is truth. When God says, we have eternal life because we believe in the Son of God (1 John 5: 12-13), it is truth. When He says, "the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two edged sword, piercing even to the division of the soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart" (Hebrews 4:12), it is established truth. These are only a few of the promises of God's established truths found in the Bible.
I encourage you to search the Bible for more truth and as you meditate on these, may you believe that as God had the power and love to save you through the love of His Son, Christ, He is also well able to bring each and every one of these promises to fruition in your life when you receive them with your heart. Amen.
I'll end with this Scripture in Ephesians 3:20-21 NKJV
"20.Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us (my emphasis),
21. to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever, Amen."
Invitation to salvation: If you would like to know this God, who loves you with an everlasting love before you ever loved Him and has given you eternal life through the faith of His one and only Son, Jesus Christ, I invite you to make this confession, "I believe with my heart and confess with my mouth that; Jesus Christ, the Son of God came in a human body to die for my sins so that I could have a new life where I am dead to sin and alive to God. I choose Him as my Lord and Saviour today and forever."
Congratulations, by grace you are saved and are now a new creation in Christ Jesus. The old life has passed away and you have received the free gift of salvation into your life (2 Corinthians 5:17). To the glory of the Almighty God. Amen.
As a new believer, I urge you to let your Pastor know that you took the confession of faith or if you don't have one, become a part of a church. I also encourage you to get water baptised as soon as possible and get yourself a physical copy of the Bible or download the Bible app on your mobile in case you don't already own one! If you have taken the confession of faith and would like a physical copy of the Bible, please send us an email at info@bibleversionoflife.com with your address. We would love to hear your story. GOD BLESS.
