Exodus Ch.15

LORD Jesus thank you for Your faithfulness and love expressed when You gave Your life on the cross for all of the sins of the world. As we read and share this Word today, we reflect on the testimony of Your goodness found in salvation as You are still the same miracle working God yesterday, today and forever. Bless us LORD In the Name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

This chapter is filled with thanksgiving to the LORD by Moses, Miriam and the children of Israel. They were thankful for the LORD who delivered their enemies right before their eyes. The LORD fulfilled His Word through Moses that the Egyptians they saw in that moment who chased them desiring to take them back to bondage in Egypt, they indeed never saw again (Exodus 14:13). Child of God, some battles that rise up may appear persistent like Pharaoh but nothing can ever dim the light of God that He has put in you through His Son Christ. Isaiah 59:11 tells us the fate of our enemies and it reads, "They shall stand in awe from the West before the name of the LORD JEHOVAH, and from the dawning of the sun for his glory, because the oppressor shall come like a river, and the Spirit of the LORD JEHOVAH will humiliate him." The Spirit of the LORD JEHOVAH humiliates and destroys every enemy in your life In the Name of Jesus.

This chapter also highlights the simplicity of the LORD's salvation and deliverance. There was no use of skilled weapons or tricks but only the display of God's power and might. 1 Corinthians 1:27 tells us the mind of God that is, "Instead God chose the things the world considers foolish in order to shame those who think they are wise. And he chose things that are powerless to shame those who are powerful." We see that the Egyptians were skilled in the art of war with some of the best weapons to fight their enemies but the children of Israel on the other hand had no weapons other than the name of the LORD. They had no chariots but rather walked everywhere they travelled. Based on the facts, their enemies were more than well able to destroy them completely but our God is not a factual God, He is a faithful, powerful and truthful God. Psalm 20:7 tells us, "some trust in chariots, and some in horses, but we will remember the name of the LORD our God."

May you be encouraged that God is bigger than any negative report and negative factual circumstances that may be surrounding your life. 2 Corinthians 4:18 tells us, "...For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal." Take heart and believe that every negative situation in your life is temporary. God only has good and perfect plans for your life which are to give you a good future and hope (Jeremiah 29:11). Do not lose heart.

I join my faith with yours and I ask the Father to comfort your heart, mind, soul and body as He keeps you in perfect peace as you trust in Him in everything concerning your life In the Name of Jesus.

I'll end with the song Moses and the children of Israel sang to the LORD found in Exodus 15:1-17. This song was also prophetic as it highlighted the future victories that the children of Israel conquered because of what the LORD had done for them. As a result, all the people in different territories were afraid of their God. May you be encouraged as you praise the LORD for His goodness that is still and always present to overcome any negativity contrary to God's plans and promises for your life.

  1. I will sing to the LORD for He has triumphed gloriously! The horse and its rider He has thrown into the sea!

  2. The LORD is my strength and song, and He has become my salvation; he is my God, and I will praise Him; my father's God, and I will exalt Him.

  3. The LORD is a man of war; the LORD is His name.

  4. Pharaoh's chariots and his army, He has cast into the sea; His chosen captains also are drowned in the Red Sea.

  5. The depths have covered them; they sank to the bottom like a stone.

  6. Your right hand, O LORD, has become glorious in power; Your right hand, O LORD has dashed the enemy in pieces.

  7. And in the greatness of Your excellence You have overthrown those who rose against You; You sent forth Your wrath; It consumed them like stubble.

  8. And with the blast of Your nostrils the waters were gathered together; the floods stood upright like a heap; the depths congealed in the heart of the sea.

  9. The enemy said, 'I will pursue, I will overtake, I will divide the spoil; my desire shall be satisified on them. I will draw my sword, my hand shall destroy them.

  10. You blew with with Your wind, the sea covered them; they sank like lead in the mighty waters.

  11. Who is like You, O LORD, among the gods? Who is like You glorious in holiness, fearful in praises and doing wonders?

  12. You stretched out Your right hand; the earth swallowed them.

  13. You in Your mercy have led forth the people whom You have redeemed; You have guided them in Your strength to Your holy habitation.

  14. "The people will hear and be afraid; sorrow will take hold of the inhabitants of Philistia.

  15. Then the chiefs of Edom will be dismayed; the mighty men of Moab, trembling will take hold of them; all the inhabitants of Canaan will melt away.

  16. Fear and dread will fall on them; by the greatness of Your arm they will be as still as a stone, till Your people pass over O LORD, till the people pass over whom You have purchased.

  17. You will bring them in and plant them in the mountain of Your inheritance, in the place, O LORD, which You have made for Your own dwelling, the sanctuary, O Lord, which Your hands have established." AMEN. Thank you LORD for our salvation and deliverance.
