Faith of Jesus Christ

Father, we thank you for Your Word, for this new day that you have given us, we shall rejoice and glorify Your Name in it. We ask for wisdom and understanding as we read and share Your Word today, In Jesus Name.

For this purpose, today's lead Scripture is from Romans 3:3-4 NKJV and it says,

3.For what if some did not believe? will their unbelief make the faithfulness of God without effect?

4. Certainly not! Indeed, let God be true but every man a liar..."

AMEN.

Occasionally, we may hear someone say have faith and when you are a believer, that statement is encouraging because it is a reminder for us to hold onto the faithfulness of God and other times, the enemy may use it as a tool to condemn you into questioning whether you truly have enough faith. Today's message is for that one especially a believer who may feel condemned by the enemy when they hear the statement...'have faith' as it may make you question your very salvation. Have rest beloved, as a believer in Christ Jesus, your faith is already certified and sealed in Him the minute you become born again and there is no need for you to question whether your faith is enough or if it is working. If it started working the minute you were saved (because it did) as Ephesians 2:8 says, For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God." Amen. If our own faith did not save us but rather the gift of God, then how is it that now we get to work to increase it after we have become born again when you were not the original author of this faith in the first place. Indeed, "let God be true but every man a liar" as seen in today's lead Scripture above. As believers, we all have faith and our faith is firmly established and rooted in Christ. Galatians 2:20 reminds us that we live by the faith of the Son of God (not our faith, my emphasis) and it says , "And I have been crucified with the Messiah, and from then on, I myself have not been living but the Messiah is living in me, and this that I now live in the flesh, I live by the faith of The Son of God, he who has loved us and has given himself for us." (Aramaic Bible). Previously, while Jesus physically walked the earth, He had told the people in Matthew 17:20, "Because of your unbelief, for assuredly, I say to you if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, 'move from here to there,' and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you." I love this text because even then Jesus did not condemn or impose on anyone more than they could handle and I believe this is why He encouraged us to have the faith as small as a mustard seed. And the good news, that as believers, ever since His crucifixion, we have a better and new covenant because Christ lives in you and you live by His faith as - "greater is He who is in you than he that is in the world (1 John 4:4)."

The subject of faith may have various definitions in various culture and religions but as believers, we believe and build strictly on the faith of God through His One and Only Son Jesus Christ which He has given to each and every one of us. And this faith is not something that we work towards, it is a free gift. Romans 12:3 says, "For I say, through the grace given to me, to everyone who is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think soberly, as God has dealt to each one a measure of faith."

I'll end with Jesus Christ's Words in John 17: 3 that say;

"And this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent."

Amen. Thank you LORD for the gift of Your grace and because of the faith of Jesus Christ, we have eternal life.

Invitation to salvation: If you would like to have eternal life through the faith of the one and only Son of God, Jesus Christ, I invite you to make this confession, "I believe with my heart and confess with my mouth that; Jesus Christ, the Son of God came in a human body to die for my sins so that I could have a new life where I am dead to sin and alive to God. I choose Him as my Lord and Saviour today and forever."

Congratulations, by grace you are saved and are now a new creation in Christ Jesus. The old life has passed away and you have received the free gift of salvation into your life (2 Corinthians 5:17). To the glory of the Almighty God. Amen.

As a new believer, I urge you to let your Pastor know that you took the confession of faith or if you don't have one, become a part of a church. I also encourage you to get water baptised as soon as possible and get yourself a physical copy of the Bible or download the Bible app on your mobile in case you don't already own one! If you have taken the confession of faith and would like a physical copy of the Bible, please send us an email at info@bibleversionoflife.com with your address. We would love to hear your story. GOD BLESS.
