Granted desires

Father, we glorify Your holy name and thank you for this day. May Your truth be revealed to us as we read, reflect and share this post In Jesus Name.

Today's lead Scripture is from Proverbs 10:24 AMP

"What the wicked fears will come upon him,

but the desire of the righteous [for the blessings of God] will be granted."

AMEN.

Sometimes in the world you may hear, what you fear will come upon you. Thank God for Jesus Christ, we know that's not the story for those who are the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus. Today's lead Word encourages us that God will grant us the desires of our hearts and not our fears. When we come to the Father in prayer, it means we are in agreement with His love for us and are believing God for His best. In Romans 10:11, God tells us that "whoever believes in Him shall not be put to shame."

In John 4:18, the Bible tells us that "There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made perfect in love." Romans 8:15-16 says,

"For you did not receive the spirit of bondage to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out, "Abba Father." When you read this two Scriptures together, it is clear that God is love (1 John 4:8) and love with fear cannot mutually exist with each other. It is also clear that fear comes from the enemy and love comes from God. Love involves complete trust and confidence (1 John 5:14) while fear involves uncertainty, dread and torment. Love draws us closer to the Father's presence while fear draws us further away from God.

When we fix our eyes on God's love for us and what He did through Christ by sending His One and Only Son to die for us, God's love becomes real because no one casually gives up a child they love to death. However Abba Father did this so that we could all feel worthy and receive His love for us. I believe we all have the desire to be accepted and loved. Hence, the reason Jesus died on the cross was so this desire could be granted for us all by ensuring humanity was free from every lie of the enemy that separates us from God's love in Christ. Romans 8:32 tells us, he who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things? Hallelujah.

The grace and mercy of God is available to each and everyone and it is free. If there is an area that brings you torment and fear whenever you think about it, I encourage you to present it to God in prayer and to remember that you are accepted and are God's beloved. No character trait is above God's love and mercy. The Father's love for us is unmerited and so is every spiritual blessing and He is more than delighted to grant the desires of your heart beyond expectation. Ephesians 3:20 encourages us "to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God. Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us,"

At the same time, does believing God's never ending love exempt you from trials of the enemy, no! Then you may wonder why pray and believe in God if you shall still experience trials? -The simple answer is, God is just and faithful - there is none like Him. In addition, with His only Son Jesus Christ, you not only have eternal life (1 John 5:11-12) which may also be your ultimate granted desire secured for you in heaven but you will always have an ally, Christ, fighting on your behalf through every trial in the world. The LORD in Isaiah 43:2 says, "When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow you, when you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned, nor shall the flame scorch you."

Thank you Father for Your mercy.

Prayer: Father, we thank you that You are love and because of Your love, You sent us the gift of Your Son Jesus who died for us, so that we would not die but have eternal life, who was separated from You for only a moment when He was crucified on the cross so that we would never be separated from You, who died so that we could receive Your love and have endless fellowship with you through the Holy Spirit and because of this personal relationship with you, You have granted our hearts desires and given us every spiritual blessing in heaven. Thank you for knowing and fulfilling our needs and desires better than we can ever imagine with our human understanding. Thank you for Your unmerited grace that has redeemed and saved us from the kingdom of darkness into the kingdom of your marvelous light. We ask for more revelation of Your perfect love for us and that you fill us with the love of Christ which passes all knowledge so we maybe filled with the fullness of You In Jesus' Name, Amen. Thank you LORD.

I'll end with this Word in Psalms 33:20-22 MSG

"We're depending on GOD; He's everything we need.

What's more, our hearts brim with joy since we've taken for our own his holy name.

Love us, GOD, with all you've got -

that's what we're depending on."

Hallelujah. Amen.

Invitation for personal relationship with God, the Father: If you would like to personally know this God who will never leave nor forsake you, who loves you with an everlasting love before you ever loved Him and has given you eternal life through the faith of His one and only Son, Jesus Christ - whose faithful promises are yes and amen, I invite you to make this confession, "I believe with my heart and confess with my mouth that; Jesus Christ, the Son of God came in a human body to die for my sins so that I could have a new life where I am dead to sin and alive to God. I repent of my past sins and enter the Kingdom of light where I choose Jesus Christ as my Lord and Saviour today and forever."

Congratulations, by grace you are saved and are now a new creation in Christ Jesus. The old life has passed away and you have received the free gift of salvation into your life (2 Corinthians 5:17). To the glory of the Almighty God. Amen.

As a new believer, I urge you to let your Pastor know that you took the confession of faith or if you don't have one, become a part of a church. I also encourage you to get water baptised as soon as possible and get yourself a physical copy of the Bible or download the Bible app on your mobile in case you don't already own one! If you have taken the confession of faith and would also like a physical copy of the Bible, please send us an email at info@bibleversionoflife.com with your address. We would love to hear your story. GOD BLESS.
