To all the amazing dads, grand dads, husbands, sons, brothers, nephews, brother-in-laws, cousins, pastors, evangelists, prophets and men of God, friends, god fathers, uncles, great uncles...a blessed and happy Father's Day.

Most importantly, join me as we celebrate together the most amazing, loving Father of all time and ages, Abba Father, our heavenly Father and the Father of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Amen.

John 3:16-17 NKJV reads,

"For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved."

The act of God, the Father sending His One and Only Son Jesus Christ, to die for the sins of the world is the greatest expression of love. When He sent Christ to the world, Jesus' death on the cross, death, burial and ascension to heaven means that we could be restored to that place of relationship where we could be one with the Father again as was originally and divinely orchsestrated by our Father in the garden of Eden. Genesis 1:26 elucidates on this and reads, "Then God said, "Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness' let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth." When God created you in His image, He did not think He was over doing anything. He did not think maybe if He made you less like Him, you would probably be less rebellious or more 'humble.' This is the reason Apostle Paul shares with us in Philippians 2:5-6, "Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus, who being in the form of God did not consider it robbery to be equal with God."

Do not get me wrong, God does not desire pride in any of His children because pride builds idols and exalts self instead of worshipping God. At the same time, our Abba Father has not called you to live in fear or to dim the light, the light of Christ that He has put upon your life because, as seen above, you have the mind of Christ. In addition, 1 John 4:4 reminds us, "You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world." Child of God, this alone is worthy of celebrating our Abba Father and giving Him all the reverence, glory and praise. We are whole, redeemed, restored, delivered from the Kingdom of darkness into the Kingdom of the Son of His love (Colossians 1:13), set free, sanctified and loved perfectly not because we deserve it but because God is love (1 John 4:16). As a result, we confidently and boldly embody our identity as sons and daughters of God and are not ashamed to call Him our Father.

I'll end with this Word in Romans 8:15 (NKJV )

"For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out, "Abba Father."

AMEN. Thank you LORD. HAPPY FATHER'S DAY!
