Father God, we join our faith and say thank you that this is the day that You have made and we shall be glad and rejoice in it in the name of Jesus. Thank you for the entrance of Your Word that brings light in the name of Jesus. We seek understanding LORD God of Your way of truth and may we receive the grace to apply the Word in our lives in the name of Jesus, Amen. Thank you LORD.
Today's lead Word is from Isaiah 14:24 (NKJV)
"The LORD of hosts has sworn saying, "Surely, as I have thought, so it shall come to pass, and as I have purposed, so it shall stand:"
Amen, thank you LORD.
In Nahum 1:9 KJV, the LORD asks a question, "What do ye imagine against the LORD? He will make an utter end: affliction shall not rise up the second time."
Isaiah chapter 14 starts off with the LORD showing mercy on Jacob, which includes all of God's people and today the LORD tells you child of God, that the thoughts He has toward you will come to pass. The thoughts that God has towards His people are thoughts of peace, filled with His goodness, to give His people a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11).
We know that the Word of God is powerful and today, the LORD tells us that even His thoughts towards us are equally as powerful and as seen in the above lead Scripture, He says they shall come to pass and nothing by any means will stop their fulfilment in our lives. In this chapter, we see the LORD promising mercy, freedom, peace and deliverance to His people and He says, "it shall come to pass in the day the LORD gives you rest from your sorrow, and from your fear and the hard bondage in which you were made to serve." (Isaiah 14:3).
On the other hand, we see the LORD's final judgment pronounced on His enemies and in particular the ultimate destruction of satan. Isaiah 14:15-17 NKJV shows us the LORD's ultimate destruction of satan - "Yet you shall be brought down to Sheol, to the lowest depths of the Pit, those who see you will gaze at you, and consider you, saying: 'Is this man who made the earth tremble who shook the kingdoms, who made the world as a wilderness and destroyed its cities, who did not open the house of his prisoners?" Isaiah 14:19 continues to speak of Lucifer's destruction, "But you are cast out of your grave like an abominable branch, like the garment of those who are slain, thrust through with a sword, who go down to the stones of the pit, like a corpse trodden underfoot."
The LORD also destroys all of satan's children as well so that His people can have peace in the land (Isaiah 14:21) which is consistent with the LORD's promise to us in Nahum 1:9 that affliction shall not rise up the second time in the lives of God's people. AMEN.
This accurately depicts the truth that when the LORD delivers, He does a permanent deliverance through salvation. Most importantly, there is no deliverance without salvation found in the precious blood of Jesus Christ, the Son of God who was sent by God to die for the sin of the world so that we could have eternal life and have permanent freedom in Him.
1 John 3:8 NKJV tells us, "...For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil" and when we read Isaiah 14, the works of the devil have indeed been permanently destroyed. Glory to God.
I'll end with this Word in Hebrews 12:22-24 (NKJV)
"22.But you have come to Mount Zion and to the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, to an innumerable company of angels,
23.to the general assembly and church of the firstborn who are registered in heaven, to God the Judge of all, to the spirits of just men made perfect,
24.to Jesus the Mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling that speaks better things than that of Abel."
AMEN, thank you LORD.
Invitation to salvation: If you would like to get to know this loving and merciful God, who wants to spare you from the devil's affliction and judgment by partaking of His blessings as His child through His Son Christ, I invite you to make this confession:
Please speak the words below:
"I believe with my heart and confess with my mouth that; Jesus Christ, the Son of God came in a human body to die for my sins so that I could have a new life where I am dead to sin and alive to God. I repent of my past sins and enter the Kingdom of light where I choose relationship with Jesus Christ as my Lord and Saviour and with God as my loving Father today and forever. Thank you Father that because the Son has made me free, I am now free indeed." AMEN.
Congratulations, by grace you are saved and are now a new creation in Christ Jesus. The old life has passed away and you have received the free gift of salvation into your life (2 Corinthians 5:17) where you get to freely access everything I've shared in this post. To the glory of the Almighty God. Amen.
