Mark 12:28-34

Today's lead Scripture is from the gospel of Mark 12:28-34 NKJV. One of the Scribes who were also the religious leaders at the time asked Jesus;

28."...Which is the first commandment of of all?"

29. Jesus answered him, "The first of all the commandments is" 'Hear, O Israel, the LORD our God, the LORD is one.

30.'And you shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength.' This is the first commandment.

31"And the second, like it is this:'You shall love your neighbour as yourself.' There is no other commandment greater than these."

32.So the Scribe said to Him, "Well said, Teacher. You have spoken the truth, for there is one God, and there is no other but He.

33."And to love Him with all the heart, with all the understanding, with all the soul, and with all the strength, and to love one's neighbour as oneself, is more than all the whole burnt offerings and sacrifices."

34.Now when Jesus saw that he answered wisely, He said to him, "You are not far from the kingdom of God."

Amen.

Prayer: May God keep us in His presence and teach us to love Him with all our heart, soul, mind and strength. May we all be always close to the kingdom of God today and forever more In Jesus Name. Amen.

Invitation to salvation: Finally, in case you have not already, I invite you to believe with your heart and confess with your mouth that; Jesus Christ, the Son of God came in a human body to die for my sins. I repent of my sin. I choose Him as my Lord and Saviour today and forever.

Congratulations, by grace you have been saved and are now a new creation in Christ Jesus. The old life has passed away and you have received the free gift of salvation into your life. To the glory of the Almighty God. Amen.

As a new believer, I urge you to prayerfully consider becoming a member of a church and buying a Bible or downloading the Bible app on your mobile in case you don't already own one!
