Saved

Today's leading post is from the book of Acts 4:12 in the New King James Version and it says;

12. Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among

men by which we must be saved."

Prior to this, John and Peter (who were both former disciples of Jesus Christ) performed a miracle where the power and faith in the Name of Jesus Christ made a man who was born lame walk (Acts 3:1-9). The evidence of the power of the name of Jesus Christ was for available for all to see and for this reason Peter and John were put in custody by the rulers and scribes who condoned them for using the name of Jesus Christ (Acts 4: 3 and 17). But thanks be to God that the name of Jesus Christ cannot be chained or imprisoned.

The Greek meaning of the word saved is healed, preserved, whole, restored and delivered. One of the things I love the most about this is the meaning of being saved in Christ Jesus is in the past tense.

This means after we have accepted Jesus Christ as our Lord and Saviour, through faith in His Name, not only do we have everlasting life, we are already preserved, healed, whole, restored and delivered from every negative circumstance contrary to the Word of God that that may show up in our lives. Glory to God.

It also means we no longer have to be caught up in a 'performance' because the love of God through faith in His one and only Son Jesus Christ already finished it all on the cross so that we can live a life of freedom. As a result, there is nothing we can add or subtract from Jesus' work. Our job as children of God is to praise our Abba Father in holiness with reverence, receive His love and rest through our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.

I'll end with a Psalm of David (131:1-3 AMP) which displayed his trust in the LORD.

  1. LORD, MY heart is not proud, nor my eyes haughty; nor do I involve myself in great matters, or in things too difficult for me.

  2. Surely I have calmed and quieted my soul; like a weaned child [resting] with his mother, my soul is like a weaned child within me [composed and freed from discontent].

  3. O Israel, hope in the LORD from this time forth and forever.

AMEN.

Invitation to salvation: Finally, in case you have not already, I invite you to believe with your heart and confess with your mouth that; Jesus Christ, the Son of God came in a human body to die for my sins. I choose Him as my Lord and Saviour today and forever.

Congratulations, by grace you have been saved and are now a new creation in Christ Jesus. The old life has passed away and by faith, you have received the free gift of salvation into your life. To the glory of the Almighty God. Amen.

As a new believer, I urge you to prayerfully consider becoming a member of a church, getting water baptized and buying a Bible or downloading the Bible app on your mobile in case you don't already own one!
