Thanksgiving to the LORD

Praise the Name of the Almighty God.

Today's lead Word is from Psalm 50:14-15 AMP where the LORD says,

14.Offer to God the sacrifice of thanksgiving

And pay your vows to the Most High;

15.Call on Me in the day of trouble

I will rescue you, and you shall honor and glorify Me."

AMEN.

I encourage you all to read Psalm 50 as it contextualizes and displays the power of giving thanks to the LORD. Herein, the LORD speaks of how everything in the world is His, there is nothing that we can give Him that He does not already own. For instance Psalm 50:12, says "If I were hungry I would not tell you, for the world and all it contains are Mine." Then what does the LORD desire from us or even better put, what can we offer to His sovereignty? - Thanksgiving.

The lead Word for today refers to it as a "sacrifice of thanksgiving". I encourage you to take the rest of the week to reflect on the good things that God has done for you now, (including previously) and give Him your thanks. I also encourage you to think of the the situations that may not be working in your favour right now and give Him thanks as well because He has a better plan for your life if you will continue to trust Him with your life decisions. The subsequent verse after we offer our sacrifice of thanksgiving to the LORD, He encourages us to call on Him in the day of trouble because our problems are God's problems and thanksgiving invokes the power of God to manifest and rescue us from every force that is against our wellbeing.

I'll end with this Word in 1 Thessalonians 5:24 NLT:

"God will make this happen, for He who calls you is faithful."

Prayer: Heavenly Father we thank you for the gift of life and all that You have done for us. You do not desire anything besides our hearts and thanks giving because everything in the world is already Yours. We give You thanks for for Your presence. Thank you for Your faithfulness. Thank you for Your love and mercy that endures forever, especially a love that loves us unconditionally, thank you. Thank you for grace, salvation, redemption, deliverance and the freedom we have in Your One and Only Son Jesus Christ. Thank you Abba Father that because of Jesus Christ we are now free from sin and the power of death. We glorify Your Holy Name and may our sacrifice of thanksgiving be acceptable to you In Jesus Name, AMEN.

Invitation to salvation: Finally, in case you have not already, I invite you to experience the Father's perfect love that is firmly established when you are united with Christ Jesus.

When you believe with your heart and confess with your mouth that; Jesus Christ, the Son of God who came in a human body to die for my sins. I repent of my sin. I choose Him as my Lord and Saviour today and forever.

Congratulations, by grace you have been saved and are now a new creation in Christ Jesus. The old life has passed away and you have received the free gift of salvation into your life. To the glory of the Almighty God. Amen.
