The LORD's presence

Today's lead Scripture is from John 14:16-18 and I pray the Holy Spirit guides our revelation and understanding as we share today's post In the Name of Jesus.

These were Jesus words to His disciples before His crucifixion;

16."And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever-

17."the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you.

18.I will not leave you orphans; I will come to you."

AMEN.

Commonly referred to as the The Lord's Prayer in Luke 11:2 begins with "Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name..." is a beautiful prayer that Jesus gave His disciples while still on the earth. I recall reciting this prayer as a child at school and having the impression that I was here on earth and God was in heaven extremely far from me. Now as an adult, they may be times or situations that present themselves and make you wonder the promximity of God's presence in your life.

However, today let this settle in your heart, that God is love and love always wants to be with. When you choose to make Christ your Lord and Savior and become a new creation, your life is not only made new but He guarantees that "you will receive the Holy Spirit who dwells with you and lives in you" as seen in the Word above in John 14:17. This Word is so powerful because Jesus tells us that the Holy Spirit is not only in us but also dwells with us. This is consistent with God's promise to His children that "...He will never leave us nor forsake us" (Deuteronomy 31:6) and in John 14:18 above, Jesus reiterates this promise to us and says, "I will not leave you orphans; I will come to you."

When we recognize the presence of the Holy Spirit in our lives, we have a chance to commune with the Father constantly and in everything we do. Despite His physical location in heaven, the Father through the Holy Spirit is spirtually located with and in us everyday! In the book of Exodus, we see a clear example of God's presence that surrounded the Israelites as they journeyed from Egypt to the promised land. Exodus 13:21-22 says, "And the LORD went before them by day in a pillar of cloud to lead the way, and by night in a pillar of fire to give them light, so as to go by day and night. He did not take away the pillar of cloud by day or the pillar of fire by night from before the people."

Today, God through Jesus Christ has given us something better, the Holy Spirit whose presence is more consistent and constant because He dwells and lives in you. All throughout the day, I encourage you to recognize and lean into His presence as the Father wants to guide and be a part of your daily routine.

All throughout the day, say Father, I thank you that you are here with me and right now, giving me the strength and wisdom I need for each moment of today, In Jesus Name, Amen.

I'll end with this Word in Ephesians 1:3-4

3.Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ,

4.just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love." AMEN.

Invitation to salvation: If you would like to know more about this God who dwells with you and in you and will never leaves nor forsake you, I invite you to make this confession, "I believe with my heart and confess with my mouth that; Jesus Christ, the Son of God came in a human body to die for my sins so that I could have a new life where I am dead to sin and alive to God. I choose Him as my Lord and Saviour today and forever."

Congratulations, by grace you are saved and are now a new creation in Christ Jesus. The old life has passed away and you have received the free gift of salvation into your life (2 Corinthians 5:17). To the glory of the Almighty God. Amen.

As a new believer, I urge you to let your Pastor know that you took the confession of faith or if you don't have one, become a part of a church. I also encourage you to get water baptised as soon as possible and get yourself a physical copy of the Bible or download the Bible app on your mobile in case you don't already own one! If you have taken the confession of faith and would like a physical copy of the Bible, please send us an email at info@bibleversionoflife.com with your address. We would love to hear your story. GOD BLESS.
