LORD of Heaven and earth, the King of Kings and the LORD of LORDS, we worship You Ancient of days. May Your name forever be glorified in every nation and may every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is LORD to the glory of the Father. We thank You that Your Kingdom is already here. It is among us and in us to the glory of God, the Father. Thank you LORD. May Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven in the name of Jesus, Amen.

Today's lead Word is from Genesis 41:41-44 (NKJV)

"41.And Pharaoh said to Joseph, "See I have set you over all the land of Egypt."

42.Then Pharaoh took his signet ring off his hand and put it on Joseph's hand; and he clothed him in garments of fine linen and put a gold chain around his neck.

43.And he had him ride in the second chariot which he had; and they cried out before him, "Bow the knee!" So he set him over all the land of Egypt."

44.Pharaoh also said to Joseph, "I am Pharaoh, and without your consent no man may lift his hand or foot in all of the land of Egypt."

Today's sharing is a continuation of yesterday's post which was based on Genesis chapter 41. The above verses indicate Joseph's appointment by Pharaoh to oversee the entire nation of Egypt. Prior to this, Pharaoh tells Joseph in Genesis 41:40 NKJV, "You shall be over my house, and all my people shall be ruled according to your word; only in regard to the throne will I be greater than you."

God fulfilled His Word concerning Joseph's life in a moment, literally. Also, I believe Joseph was clearly prepared by God for this moment of the manifestation of the LORD's glory upon his life. What looked like a delay was God preparing the opportune moment for His glory to be revealed through Joseph's life. God used every moment whether created by the enemy or not to work for Joseph's good in the end. Thankfully, Joseph was humble in his approach and his relationship towards God as he chose to trust Him in all things as opposed to relying on his own understanding in the midst of unpleasant circumstances.

If Joseph was not accused of rape by Potipher's wife, he would not have gone to the prison where he met the chief baker and chief butler, Pharaoh's servants, who both had dreams that no one could interpret except Joseph. God then used Joseph's wisdom of dream interpretation that He bestowed on Joseph which introduced him to Pharaoh's presence by the recommendation of the chief butler who was previously in prison with him.

In the event you are in a waiting season, may you be comforted by God's goodness in Joseph's story and how God used every moment of faithfulness on Joseph's part to contribute to the ultimate blessing He freely gave to Joseph. Romans 8:32 reminds us of God's love and it reads, "He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things?"

In Genesis 41:45, Pharaoh also gave Joseph a wife and he had two sons that were born before the famine. His children were born during the plentiful years and Joseph ensured that he gathered up grain and food in every city that surrounded them (Genesis 41:47-48). Joseph named his "...first born Manasseh: For God has made me forget all of my toil and all my father's house." And the name of the second he called Ephraim: "For God has caused me to be fruitful in the land of my affliction." (Genesis 41:51-52).

This chapter ends with the seven years of famine coming on the scene. It is important to note that this famine was all over the world (Genesis 41:54&56). Genesis 41:57 NKJV reads, "So all countries came to Joseph in Egypt to buy grain, because the famine was severe in all lands."

I'll end with God's Word found in Numbers 23:19 (NKJV)

"God is not a man, that He should lie,

nor a son of man, that He should repent.

Has He said, and will He not do?

Or has He spoken, and will He not make it good?"

AMEN, thank you God.

Invitation to salvation: I invite you to make this confession that invites you to new covenant of love that is found in the precious blood of Jesus Christ where we get to have a personal relationship with God, the Father and your part and assignment in God's Kingdom is revealed. Please say the words below:

"I believe with my heart and confess with my mouth that; Jesus Christ, the Son of God came in a human body to die for my sins so that I could have a new life where I am dead to sin and alive to God. I repent of my past sins and enter the Kingdom of light where I choose relationship with Jesus Christ as my Lord and Saviour and with God as my loving Father today and forever." AMEN.
