He is with you
Today's Word is from Psalm 138:8 NKJV
"The LORD will perfect that which concerns me;
Your mercy O LORD,
endures forever;
Do not forsake the works of Your hands."
The previous post highlighted the Father's love for all His children and this post is a continuation and reminder of His love for us. David in the above Psalm speaks of the Lord's goodness and speaks with certainty that the LORD will perfect that which concerns each and every one of us. If we decide to look at perfection from a human perspective, we shall fall short because we are using ourselves or others as a standard. However, if we decide to look at perfection as a character trait of God, we'll eventually grow comfortable with the knowledge that despite whatever circumstance comes in our lives (good or bad), God will perfect everything concerning us when we trust Him. Numbers 23:19 emphasizes that "God is not man, that He should lie." I love this Word as it reaffirms that God's integrity cannot be compared to any human being that He created.
Having the confidence that the LORD will perfect that which concerns us is also consistent with His character trait that He cares for us. In 1 Peter 5:7 we are told to "cast all our care upon Him for He cares for us" because no bad break has the power to reverse the perfect will that God has concerning our lives. When we continually choose to focus on the goodness of God all through the day and casting our cares on Him through prayer, Philippians 4:7 tells us that "the peace of God which surpasses all understanding, will guard our hearts and minds through Christ Jesus". The reminder that the peace of God in Christ Jesus is readily available for us both in good and bad times is the blessed assurance of His love and mercy that endures forever.
Let's pray: Heavenly Father, we praise and glorify your Holy name this morning. We thank you for Your mercy and goodness that is new everyday. We thank you that before we were created, You knew every plan and purpose concerning our lives. We trust in You and receive Your love for us. May Your love and mercy constantly remind us each day that no matter what we face, Your presence LORD is with us and shall perfect everything concerning our lives In the Name of Jesus. Amen.
I'll end with this Word from Proverbs 3:5-6 AMP
5. Trust in and rely confidently on the LORD with all your heart
And do not rely on your own insight or understanding.
6. In all your ways know and acknowledge and recognize Him,
And He will make your paths straight and smooth [removing obstacles that block your way].
