Father, we join our faith and worship You ancient of days, may You receive all our praise. To You belong all our adoration and because we have life and breath in our lungs, we praise You in our spirits, we sing praises to You with our lips and in our hearts in the name of Jesus. May You who created the world continue to watch over our cities and nations. We thank you Father that whatever You start, You are able to complete and therefore we say thank you for every good work You have started in our nations and we thank you that You will surely complete what You have started for all power belongs to You in the name of Jesus, Amen.
Today's lead Word is coming from Isaiah 29:24 (NKJV)
"These also who erred, in spirit will come to understanding, and those who complained will learn doctrine."
AMEN, thank you LORD.
The above verse is a concluding Word in Isaiah chapter 29. It's important to note that the original text written by the prophet Isaiah was not in chapters and verses. These were put to enhance our reading and understanding of God's Word so in case you either see or read repeated themes, it only means the Holy Spirit is continuing or emphasizing a conversation from a previous chapter. It is important to note that the Bible was written by people who were inspired by the Spirit of the LORD. This is the reason the Bible is powerful. In John 1:1, "In the beginning was the Word, the Word was with God, the Word was God." A few verses later, John 1:14 continues this conversation and it says, "and the Word became flesh and dwelt among us..." When we read these two verses together, we see, that Christ Jesus is the literal Word. To read your Bible, which is God's Word is to directly commune with God.
In today's lead Scripture, the Spirit of the LORD through the prophet Isaiah is saying to us that God will no longer withold wisdom and understanding to all including those who erred in spirit, the prophets and priest that were filled with intoxicating drink (Isaiah 28:7). Everyone will come to the knowledge of God. Still in alignment with Isaiah's prophecy, the LORD God in Hebrews 8:11 tells us of a future time where no person will have to teach their brother or neighbour to know the LORD because all people will get to know God for themselves.
We see a recurring theme in both Isaiah chapter 28 & 29 that speaks of a person whom God teaches and instructs in right judgment (Isaiah 28:26). Isaiah chapter 29 also shows us that disobedience starts from the heart and the consequence of disobedience is separation from God. Isaiah 29:13 says, "Inasmuch as these people draw near with their mouths and honor Me with their lips, but have removed their hearts far from Me, and their fear toward Me is taught by the commandment of men,".
In the gospel of Luke, Jesus tells a story of two men who came to the temple to pray. One was a religious leader and the other one was a tax collector (Luke 18:11). The religious leader thanked God that he was not like all the sinners but fasted, prayed and gave his tithes while the tax collector who felt unworthy to be in God's presence asked for God's mercy for he was a sinner (Luke 8:12-13).
On the face of it, when looking at both men, the religious leader looked like he was more aligned with God but since God looks at our hearts, we see the tax collector was the one who was justified before God. Jesus then proceeds to say, "I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other; for everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted." (Luke 18:14).
It is important to note that in this world, there are various sources of knowledge, but incorruptible truth is found in One person and His name is Jesus (John 14:6). The truth that is found in Jesus who is also the Word of God is the only one with the power to break through the hardness of the human heart, bring transformation and cause your heart to align with the Father, God's heart.
I'll end with this Word found in Hebrews 4:12-13 (NKJV)
"12.For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul, spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
13.And there is no creature hidden from His sight, but all things are naked and open to the eyes of Him to whom we must give account."
AMEN, thank you LORD.
If you would like to know this loving God who desires for you to come to the complete and full revelation of His love found in Christ Jesus, please confess this prayer with your mouth and believe it with your heart;
I believe with my heart and confess with my mouth that; Jesus Christ, the Son of God came in a human body to die for my sins so that I could have a new life where I am dead to sin and alive to God. I repent of my past sins and enter the Kingdom of light where I choose relationship with Jesus Christ as my Lord and Saviour and with God as my loving Father today and forever. Thank you Father that because the Son has made me free, I am now free indeed." AMEN.
Congratulations, by grace you are saved and are now a new creation in Christ Jesus. The old life has passed away and you have received the free gift of salvation into your life (2 Corinthians 5:17) where you get to freely access everything I've shared in this post.
