Father God, thank you for this is the day that You have made. Thank you for leading and carrying us as we journey through the new year. Thank you for your thoughts and plans concerning our lives that are better for us, not once have you failed us. Right now, we take some time to pause and invite you into every space we are in, our homes and most importantly to our hearts LORD, fill us with Your presence and speak to our hearts. Teach us LORD to redeem our days and restore the time in this year 2026 in the name of Jesus, Amen. Thank you LORD.
This chapter starts off with the LORD God condemning those who take counsel and devise plans without consulting Him. Isaiah 30:2 says, they strengthen themselves in Pharaoh and trust in the shadow of Egypt. The LORD God refers to them as 'rebellious people and lying children' who will not listen to the word of the LORD (Isaiah 30:9). Isaiah 30:10-11 NKJV continues to say, "Who say to the seers, "do not see," and to the prophets, do not prophesy to us right things; speak to us smooth things, prophesy deceits. Get out of the way, turn aside from the path, cause the Holy One of Israel to cease from before us."
They are at times when someone may willfully commit sin and other times, they may unknowingly commit sin. In the above verses, Isaiah the prophet is portraying to us a time when people's hearts will knowingly and willfully be so hardened to God's Word and His heart of mercy and salvation.
Isaiah 30:15-16 NKJV, the LORD God and Holy One of Israel says: "In returning and rest you shall be saved; in quietness and confidence shall be your strength. But you would not, and you said, "No, for we flee on horses"- therefore you shall flee! And, "We will ride on swift horses" - therefore those who pursue you shall be swift!"
These two verses show us the LORD pursuing His own in love despite their rejection of His ways. Unfortunately, He is unable to go against their own will and choices.
Nevertheless, this chapter shows us that the LORD God continues to pursue His own in mercy and love.
He says to His own, "Therefore the LORD will wait, that He may be gracious to you; and therefore He will be exalted, that He may have mercy on you. For the LORD is a God of justice; blessed are all those who wait for Him. For the people shall dwell in Zion at Jerusalem; you shall weep no more. He will be very gracious to you at the sound of your cry; when He hears it, He will answer you." (Isaiah 30:18-19 NJKV) - Amen
In the previous two chapters, the LORD has been revealing the importance of having good spiritual leaders. In this chapter, the LORD God promises His people that their eyes shall see their teachers and they shall hear a word behind them saying, "this is the way walk in it," whenever they turn to the right hand or to the left (Isaiah 30:20-21).
It is important to note that the Bible speaks of God giving good shepherds who will feed His people with His precepts and Word. That is, the LORD God in Jeremiah 3:15 AMP says, "Then [in the final time] I will give you spiritual shepherds after My own heart , who will feed you with knowledge and [true] understanding."
As mentioned earlier, when you are fed with the right knowledge, you will receive the true understanding of God, His character and His never ending love for you found in His Son, Jesus Christ. In the new testament, we see Jesus referred to as this 'mystery of God'. One of the Apostles of the early church, Apostle Paul, was entrusted to share God's revelation to the early church concerning the knowledge and understanding that is found in the mystery of Christ (Ephesians 3:4 & Colossians 1:25) so that we could all be made perfect as the church.
To this effect, Apostle Paul continues to remind us in Colossians 1:27-28 NKJV, "To them God willed to make known what are the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles: which is Christ in you, the hope of glory. Him we preach, warning every man and teaching every man perfect in Christ Jesus." - AMEN.
When you receive Jesus Christ, the Son of God, you have the privilege of Christ, the hope of glory living on the inside of you. This happens after you give your life to Christ and become born again which means all your sins are forgiven, washed away and you receive the free gift of eternal life.
If this sounds like you, please repeat this prayer after me;
"I believe with my heart and confess with my mouth that; Jesus Christ, the Son of God came in a human body to die for my sins so that I could have a new life where I am dead to sin and alive to God. I repent of my past sins and enter the Kingdom of light where I choose relationship with Jesus Christ as my Lord and Saviour and with God as my loving Father today and forever. Thank you Father that because the Son has made me free, I am now free indeed." AMEN.
Congratulations, by grace you are saved and are now a new creation in Christ Jesus. The old life has passed away and you have received the free gift of salvation into your life (2 Corinthians 5:17) where you get to freely access everything I've shared in this post. To the glory of the Almighty God. Amen.
