Father, we thank you for today's Word. Thank you for all the amazing things that You have done in our lives leading up to this moment in the name of Jesus. Right now, we continue to lift up holy hands for all that You are doing in our lives, for this far that You have carried us all the way till we got to the end of 2025. You are faithful, You are mighty, You are glorious, You are matchless in power, You are merciful, You are love, surely there is none like You LORD God. May your name be praised in every part of the world and over all the ends of the earth in the name of Jesus, Amen.
Today's lead Word is from Isaiah 9:6-7 (NKJV)
"6.For unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given; and the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
7.Of the increase of His government and peace there will be no end, upon the throne of David and over His kingdom, to order it and establish it with judgment and justice from that time forward, even forever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this."
Amen, thank you LORD.
Chapter 9 of Isaiah prophesied of the birth of Jesus Christ and now thanks to God, we are in the dispensation that is reaping the benefits of the love and mercy of God that is found in His Son, the risen Christ. As much as this chapter speaks of the Prince of Peace, we also see an antithesis where the LORD God will judge all who have chosen their own way reflected in the arrogance and pride in heart (Isaiah 9:9) contributing to their destruction.
Worthy to note are the words of prophecy that are repeated thrice in this chapter. This repetition confirms their certainty and fulfilment at the appointed time. They say, "For all this His anger is not turned away, but His hand is stretched out still." (Isaiah 9:12, 17 and 21).
As much as we see the LORD's judgment in this verse, it is clear that the LORD will not turn away from anyone's heart that chooses to turn to Him and this is the reason His hand is still stretched out.
You may think that you have done the worst thing in the world and there is no way God will forgive you but I bring you good news, God is not proud. He will forgive and in the above verse He tells us that despite the judgment, His hand is still stretched out to all who will repent and turn their hearts to Him. Jesus Christ in John 6:37 NKJV says, "All that the Father gives Me will come to Me, and the one who comes to Me I will by no means cast out." - Amen.
I'll end with the Word of the LORD found in Lamentations 3:33 (MSG)
"He takes no pleasure in making life hard, in throwing road blocks in the way"
Amen, thank you LORD for You are love and take no pleasure in making our lives hard.
Invitation to salvation: If you would like to get to know this ever faithful God, who wants you to be in personal relationship with Him through His Son, Immanuel - who blesses us with the gift of His peace and takes no pleasure in making your life hard or throwing road blocks in your way, I invite you to make this confession:
Please speak the words below:
"I believe with my heart and confess with my mouth that; Jesus Christ, the Son of God came in a human body to die for my sins so that I could have a new life where I am dead to sin and alive to God. I repent of my past sins and enter the Kingdom of light where I choose relationship with Jesus Christ as my Lord and Saviour and with God as my loving Father today and forever." AMEN.
Congratulations, by grace you are saved and are now a new creation in Christ Jesus. The old life has passed away and you have received the free gift of salvation into your life (2 Corinthians 5:17) where you get to freely access everything I've shared in this post.
