Isaiah 27

Praise be to God. Father, we thank you Your blessing in Ephesians 1:3 for blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ who has given us every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places because we are united with Christ Jesus. Amen

Today's Word is from Isaiah 27:2-5 (NKJV)

"2.In that day sing to her, "a vineyard of red wine!"

3,I, the LORD, keep it, I water it every moment; lest any hurt it, I keep it night and day,

4.Fury is not in me. Who would set briers and thorns against Me in a battle? I would go through them. I would burn them together.

5.Or let him take hold My strength that he may make peace with Me; and he shall make peace with Me."

AMEN, thank you LORD.

The above verses are filled with the expression of the LORD God's love concerning His redemptive and restorative plan that He has for Israel which also includes you! It's wonderful that the LORD God in His love describes His people as a garden. In John 15:1, we see Jesus describing himself as the true vine and God, the Father as the vine dresser. He continues to say, "Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit He takes away; and every branch that bears fruit He prunes, that it may bear more fruit." In order to bear fruit as a vineyard, Jesus tells us, to abide in Him as He abides in us because without Him, we can do nothing (John 15:5). This relates with Isaiah 27:3 above where we see the LORD keeping this vineyard, Israel (feel free to add your name), and waters it every moment lest any hurt it during the night and day.

Child of God, although God righteously judges every action of ours, He is also filled with love for you that can never be measured or compared with any form of human love. He speaks of thorns that He would destroy and burn concerning you because that's how much you mean to Him. In Luke's account of the gospel, Jesus shares one of the most important prarables in the Bible - the parable of the sower. Again, we see the reference of the human heart likened to a vineyard. In Luke 8:14, Jesus references the enemy as the person responsible for stealing God's Word from people's hearts and plants thorns concerning the Word that people have believed. The enemy's strategy in planting these thorns is to frustarte the fulfilment of God's Word but God filled with zeal to deliver His people and in His expression of love asks a rhetorical question in Isaiah 27:4, who would dare set thorns against Him in a battle? And the LORD God, who is also the vinedresser responds, He will go through and burn every thorn and brier that is against His people because fury is not in Him. It is important to note that fury is not in the LORD concerning His people and their shortcomings concerning the thorns planted by the enemy but His fury is in Him to judge the enemy that is against His people and the fulfilment of God's Word concerning their lives. Friend, take comfort for God is with you through that situation. Psalm 121:3-4 re assures us and says, "He will not allow your foot to be moved; He who keeps you will not slumber. Behold He who keeps Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep."

At the same time, the LORD advises in Isaiah 27:5, that we take hold of His strength and not our own. I believe taking hold of the LORD's strength is surrender. The end result of surrender is peace, the peace of God that only He can provide. AMEN.

I'll end with this Word found in Psalm 84:11 (NKJV)

"For the LORD God is a sun and a shield, the LORD will give grace and glory, no good thing will He withhold from those who walk uprightly."

AMEN, thank you LORD.

If you would like to know this loving God who completely fights your battles, watches over you day and night and gives you His peace as well which is only found in His Son Jesus Christ, please confess this prayer with your mouth and believe it with your heart;

I believe with my heart and confess with my mouth that; Jesus Christ, the Son of God came in a human body to die for my sins so that I could have a new life where I am dead to sin and alive to God. I repent of my past sins and enter the Kingdom of light where I choose relationship with Jesus Christ as my Lord and Saviour and with God as my loving Father today and forever. Thank you Father that because the Son has made me free, I am now free indeed." AMEN.

Congratulations, by grace you are saved and are now a new creation in Christ Jesus. The old life has passed away and you have received the free gift of salvation into your life (2 Corinthians 5:17) where you get to freely access everything I've shared in this post. To the glory of the Almighty God. Amen.
