Isaiah 32

This is the day that the LORD has made, we are glad, continually blessed to be here today and we thank you Father that with long healthy lives You will satisfy us and show us Your salvation and mercy in the name of Jesus. We ask for attentive hearts to give us understanding as we read and apply Your Word in our lives today and forever in the name of Jesus, Amen. Thank you LORD.

In this chapter, Isaiah 32:17-18, highlights a theme of peace, quietness and rest for everyone who has their confidence and trust in God. It speaks to us, "The work of righteousness will be peace, and the effect of righteousness, quietness and assurance forever. My people will dwell in a peaceful habitation, in secure dwellings, and in quiet resting places." Isaiah 32:19 shows us the power of God's peace to shine through and apply especially in difficult seasons. It reads, "Though hail comes down on the forest, and the city is brought low in humiliation." We see Isaiah prophesying of a righteousness that I imagine he possibly could not comprehend with his human mind (although his spirit was able to articulate it to us) and this righteousness was God living inside of a human being through His Son, Jesus Christ. In Isaiah 26:3, we saw how the LORD God will keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on Him. In Isaiah 30:15 NKJV, again the word of the LORD is clear, "in returning and rest you shall be saved; in quietness and confidence shall be your strength." This correlates with Romans 14:17 (NKJV) reminds us that the "kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but righteounsess and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit."

I believe when the LORD God shared these words with the prophet Isaiah they were and still are a reminder that in this world, real peace and quietness is not found in personal efforts, human approval or the accomplishments and accumulation of things but only in Christ. It's amazing that Apostle Paul, a man born of God who shared the revelation of Christ in the New Testament always reminded himself to forget the things behind him so that he could press into God's upward call in Christ Jesus (Philippians 3:12-15). It appears that the corruptible nature of this fallen world may cause the enemy to cunningly use one's accomplishments to invite complacency in their pursuit for God. Isaiah 32:9:10 shows us God's dislike for complacency and He warns the complacent daughters of the trouble that awaits them. But thanks be to God for in Christ, we have been again and bear the nature of the incorruptible God living on the inside of us (1 Peter 2:23) who will stop at nothing to see to it that all the plans and purposes for His sons and daughters in Christ are achieved by His grace and not our own righteousness, amen.

However, the LORD God promises rest and peace to all who came to Him for He guarantees that nothing can snatch you out of Jesus' hands (John 10:28) - PRAISE GOD.

At the same time, peace is a person and His name is Jesus Christ. In case, you need more of Jesus' peace right now, are you born of God? If not, I invite you to make the salvation prayer below.

In addition, to experience Jesus' peace, I would recommend you do an inventory of your time to see what you spend most of your time focussed on. After this small exercise, proceed to incorporate reading your Bible everyday. Reading God's Word is the best way to abide in His peace.

Invitation to salvation: When you receive Jesus Christ, the Son of God, you have the privilege of Christ, the hope of glory living on the inside of you. This happens after you give your life to Christ and become born again which means all your sins are forgiven, washed away and you receive the free gift of eternal life.

If this sounds like you, please repeat this prayer after me;

"I believe with my heart and confess with my mouth that; Jesus Christ, the Son of God came in a human body to die for my sins so that I could have a new life where I am dead to sin and alive to God. I repent of my past sins and enter the Kingdom of light where I choose relationship with Jesus Christ as my Lord and Saviour and with God as my loving Father today and forever. Thank you Father that because the Son has made me free, I am now free indeed." AMEN.

Congratulations, by grace you are saved and are now a new creation in Christ Jesus. The old life has passed away and you have received the free gift of salvation into your life (2 Corinthians 5:17) where you get to freely access everything I've shared in this post. To the glory of the Almighty God. Amen.

I'll end with this Word found in Isaiah 32:20 (NKJV)

"Blessed are you who sow beside all waters, who send out freely the feet of the ox and the donkey."

AMEN, thank you LORD.
