Father, thank you for the hope that we have found in the name of Jesus. In the name of Jesus, we have salvation, deliverance, redemption, restoration, reconciliation, love, healing, peace, joy, righteousness, wholeness, eternal life, wisdom, power, knowledge, authority, provision, divine health, favor, fruitfulness, multiplication, prosperity, victory to mention some of the blessings that every child of God has been blessed with in Christ. May you continue to open our eyes to understand and behold all that You have blessed us with in Christ amd may Your will concerning our lives be done here on earth as it is in heaven in the name of Jesus, Amen.
Today's lead Word is from Isaiah 35:10 (NKJV)
"And the ransomed of the LORD shall return, and come to Zion with singing, with everlasting joy on their heads. They shall obtain joy and gladness, and sorrow and sighing shall flee away."
AMEN, thank you LORD.
The prophet Isaiah is speaking of a future time to come when God will see to it that every reign of darkness by the enemy in this world is put to an end with His people singing with everlasting joy in a new heaven that He has created for His people. In the above verse, we also see a reference of the ransomed of the LORD. This ransomed of the LORD is God's invitation to everyone who would be willing to receive and accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour of their life.
The Hebrew meaning of the word ransomed is padah which is purchasing of property which includes purchased slaves as well.
When God looked at man, His most valuable creation whom He loves, God knew that we would not be able to survive in this world that is under the dominion of the enemy. So God in His love, sends His Son Jesus who redeems us with His precious blood so that mankind no longer has to be subjected to the 'slavery' of the enemy here on earth. Colossians 2:14-15 shows us that Jesus forgiveness of our sins "canceled out the certficate of debt consisting of legal demands [which were in force] against us and which were hostile to us. And this certificate He has set aside and completely removed by nailing it to the cross. When He had disarmed the rulers and authorities [those supernatural forces against us], He made a public example of them [exhibiting them as captives in His triumphal procession], having truimphed over them through the cross." (AMP). These verses show us that the captors who took captivity of God's people are now the ones held in captivity by Christ's victorious procession! Consequently, Jesus reminds us "therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed (John 8:36 NKJV) - amen.
At the same time, Jesus has not ransomed His people to only experience joy and gladness only in the LORD God's new heaven. However, He has made this joy available here and now on earth. If eternity started in heaven, there would be no need for Christ to come to earth to die for the sins of the world and resurrect from the dead. Christ came not only to redeem or 'buy us back' from the captivity of every scheme of darkness and sin but also to experience all of heaven's goodness while here on earth.
Jesus said in John 14:27 NKJV "Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid."
Herein, Jesus reminds His ransomed, that regardless of the negative experiences in this fallen world that is dominated by the enemy, He shares the reassurance that the enemy has already been conquered by Him so we have His peace and victory that is found in our identity as sons and daughters of God.
I'll end with this Word found in 1 John 3:1 (NKJV)
"Behold what manner of love the Father has bestowed on us, that we should be called children of God! Therefore the world does not know us, because it did not know Him."
AMEN, thank you LORD for the privilege of bring called children of God.
Invitation to salvation: When you receive Jesus Christ, the Son of God, you have the privilege of Christ, the hope of glory living on the inside of you and becoming a child of God. This happens after you give your life to Christ and become born again which means all your sins are forgiven, washed away and you receive the free gift of eternal life and every blessing of God found in Christ.
If this sounds like you, please repeat this prayer after me;
"I believe with my heart and confess with my mouth that; Jesus Christ, the Son of God came in a human body to die for my sins so that I could have a new life where I am dead to sin and alive to God. I repent of my past sins and enter the Kingdom of light where I choose relationship with Jesus Christ as my Lord and Saviour and with God as my loving Father today and forever. Thank you Father that because the Son has made me free, I am now free indeed." AMEN.
Congratulations, by grace you are saved and are now a new creation in Christ Jesus. The old life has passed away and you have received the free gift of salvation into your life (2 Corinthians 5:17) where you get to freely access everything I've shared in this post. To the glory of the Almighty God. Amen.
