The blessing of salvation

Today's lead Word is from 2 Chronicles 7:14 (NKJV). These words were spoken by the LORD when He appeared to Solomon during his reign as king.

"if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face,

and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin

and heal their land."

If there is something that is consistent all through the Bible is God's love for each and every one of us and His desire to heal, forgive and save us from sin. The epitome of God's love for humanity is revealed in Jesus Christ, the long awaited promise of salvation. The Scripture says that He who knew no sin became sin so that we could be made right with God through Christ (2 Corinthians 5:21). Our Heavenly Father knew that we could not personally overcome sin that was introduced by the enemy during the fall of man in the Garden of Eden so He sent His one and only Son Jesus Christ. Colossians 1:13-14 tells us that God "has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love, in whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins." Only the grace of God through the salvation of Jesus Christ has the power to keep us away from the deception of sin and every lie of the enemy in this world. In Zechariah 4:6 the LORD of hosts says that it is not by power, it is not by might but by My Spirit. I believe wisdom is recognizing that as individuals, we have no power to overcome sin in our strength.

1 John 1:8-9 tells us; "If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."

Friend, God is on our side. He is forever prepared to come into each of our lives to forgive our sins, heal our land and meet all our needs if we shall let Him in through prayer and reading His Word. The LORD in Jeremiah 29:13 tells us that; "If you look for me wholeheartedly, you will find me." What a blessing it is that God is not interested in playing hide and seek.

My prayer for each and every one of us today is that we have the desire to pursue and search for God with all of our hearts through His one and only Son, Jesus Christ.

I'll conclude with this Word in Romans 5:6-8 NLT

"6.When we were utterly helpless, Christ came at just the right time and died for us sinners.

7.Now, most people would not be willing to die for an upright person, though someone might perhaps be willing to die for a person who is especially good.

8.But God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners."

AMEN

Please, Lord keep delivering us from sins. Paul said it is not by power but by the Holy Spirit. Load be our Light and shows the right way in Jesus's name we pray.

Amen.
