Holy Spirit, we welcome You here and thank you that You are here with us. We ask that may You do what only You can do which is touch the hearts of Your sons and daughters, help and meet each person at their deepest point of need and renew our minds and hearts in the name of Jesus. We join our faith and also ask that may You Holy Spirit supply a fresh revelation of God, the Father and His Son, Jesus Christ, in the name of Jesus, Amen.

Today's Word is from Genesis 1:1-4 (NKJV)

"1.In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth.

2.The earth was without form, and void; and darkness was on the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters.

3.And God said, "Let there be light"; and there was light.

4.And God saw the light, that it was good; and God divided the light from the darkness."

Last week, we looked at how God created each person in His image of love. Not only are you immensely loved beyond measure by God, the Father (to say the least) but You also have the ability to love yourself and others just like Him. Regardless of the circumstances that may have surrounded your birth or it could be that you were raised in an environment devoid of love. Today, God tells you that He loves you and contrary to your past, what anyone else says, you are an expression of His love and were spiritually born out of His love.

On the other hand, today's Word shows us the importance of light. After God created the heavens and the earth, the first thing He said, was let there be light as seen in Genesis 1:2. I think we can all agree that without light, you're barely able to do much. If you walk into a dark space, the first thing you'll do is switch on the lights in that room. Just like God knew nothing about creation could proceed in darkness, light was the first thing that He spoke into existence.

John 1:1-4 (NKJV) introduces to us the full manifestation of God's light now revealed to mankind and it reads,

"1.In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

2.He was in the beginning with God.

3.All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made.

4.In Him was life, and the life was the light of men."

The above Scriptures reveal that light is a person and His name is Jesus Christ. Today, the choice to receive Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour of your life is equivalent to living a life in the light and not in darkness. When you live in the light, God promises that you will not have to do life alone.

While on the other hand, not having a relationship with Christ, is equivalent to being alive but with no direction because of the darkness that may cloud your vision. When you have Jesus Christ in your life, not only are you saved from the destruction of sin that leads to both spiritual and physical death by receiving eternal life, but you are also have a full-time Shepherd, a good Shepherd (John 10:14), who is able to lead and guide you in every aspect of your life. When Jesus' manifestation was revealed to mankind, God's intention was to ensure that mankind created in His image, would be able to fully operate in their dominion, authority and receive everything that God prepared for mankind when He created them as seen in Genesis 1:27-28.

Friend, Jesus as the good Shepherd, takes His assignment of keeping you (His sheep) safe in His light and in God, the Father's arms very seriously. He wants to forever surround you with His presence filled with salvation, redemption, restoration, protection, peace, joy, righteousness, holiness, revelation, knowledge, wisdom, and love to mention some of the blessings we have in Christ as sons and daughters of God.

John 10:27-30 re affirms this and reads, "My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me. And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand. My Father who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of My Father's hand. I and My Father are one."

When you choose a relationship to follow Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour, not only will you be free to fully live your life in its full expression as originally intended for you by God (John 8:36) in the light but you are also reunited to an in inseparable bond as you and God, the Father are one!

In a nutshell, may you receive comfort in the revelation that God's love for you in Christ surpasses any emotion or expression of human love you have ever experienced in this world.

Another beauty about God's love and light is there are no negative side effects if taken in great consumption! John 1:1 above tells us that Christ in addition to being the light of men, He is also the Word. This means when we read our Bibles, we are communing and fellowshipping with the light of God which is Christ.

TO BE CONTINUED...

For now, I'll end with this Word in Romans 8:38-39 (NKJV)

"38.For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come,

39.nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord."

AMEN. THANK YOU LORD.

Invitation to salvation: On that note, if you would like to know about God, the Father who from the beginning of creation has always loved you and desires to commune with you through a personal relationship with His only Son Christ by dwelling on the inside of you and to have eternal and everlasting life including all the blessings found in Christ Jesus - I invite you to make this confession:

"I believe with my heart and confess with my mouth that; Jesus Christ, the Son of God came in a human body to die for my sins so that I could have a new life where I am dead to sin and alive to God. I repent of my past sins and enter the Kingdom of light where I choose relationship with Jesus Christ as my Lord and Saviour and with God as my loving Father today and forever." AMEN.

Congratulations, by grace you are saved and are now a new creation in Christ Jesus. The old life has passed away and you have received the free gift of salvation into your life (2 Corinthians 5:17) where you get to freely access everything I've shared in this post. To the glory of the Almighty God. Amen.
