A life that trusts

Today's lead Scripture is from Philippians 4:8 NKJV

Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy - meditate on these things.

Apostle Paul encourages us as believers and sons of God to meditate on the above things that reflect God's goodness. On that note, do your thoughts encourage or discourage you? Are you in expectation of God's mind-blowing favour to shine upon your life each day. Ephesians 3:20 tells us that He is able to do exceedingly, abundantly, above and beyond what we could ever ask think or imagine according to His power working in us.

Recently I was having a conversation about receiving the love of God with a sister in Christ whose faith always humbles me. The first thing she asked was how do I respond to love? If someone I love, says to me I love you, would I believe them or trust them? - Hopefully most of us would believe they love us and if we don't, may the Holy Spirit reveal to your heart the reason.

Now that we had established how we most assuredly trust what our earthly loved one say to us, our conversation continued to how do we respond to God's love for us? Do we believe God's Word without question or are we trying to "make it make sense"? I like what Apostle Paul says in 2 Corinthians 5:13 "if it seems we are crazy, it is to bring glory to God. And if we are in our right minds, it is for your benefit." Sometimes faith can look crazy because it may seem unfamiliar to the mind or like anything we have been conditioned to previously.

When God tells us we have every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus (Ephesians 1:3), do we believe it is so because He loves us? The Bible tells us that God first loved us before we ever loved Him (John 3:16) and love never fails (1 Corinthians 13).

Friend, may your courage combined with faith persist on believing God's love for you through His Son Christ Jesus. Most importantly may you receive it without faltering in your mind as you trust God because His love for you and I will never fail (with emphasis). His love is undeniably real - I don't know many people who would give their only Son up so we can have deliverance, healing, liberty, peace and everlasting life. God's love has the power to go through every circumstance and situation in your life when we receive it and trust Him.

A life that trusts is one that trusts and receives God's love for them through Christ Jesus.

I'll end with this Scripture in Psalm 125:1 NKJV

Those who trust in the LORD are like Mount Zion,

which cannot be moved,

but abides forever.

AbbaFather, we thank you for today, a new month where we get to see your goodness and mercy towards us that endures forever. We thank you for divine protection over our lives and loved ones. Indeed, we are loved. We are in expectation of the great things you have in store for us today and in this month. May Your love for us exceedingly and abundantly blow our minds as we continue to trust you in all we do. We repent of where we may have missed the mark by not receiving or believing Your love for us through Your Son Jesus Christ. Soften our hearts Lord and teach us how to receive Your love concerning every area of our life for Your Word tells us whoever looks for You whole heartedly will surely find You. We give You all the glory and the praise today and forever, In the Name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

THANK YOU LORD.
