Isaiah 48

This is the day the LORD has made and we shall be glad and rejoice in it. Father, thank you for this beautiful day that You created. You who has always known every detail concerning our lives, we lift up our hands to You and give you all the glory and our praise. We also invite you to come into our hearts and speak to us LORD, correct, redeem, restore and make the crooked places straight in our lives, our homes, in our churches, in our communities, in our governments and nations in the name of Jesus, Amen. Thank you LORD.

Today's Word is coming from Isaiah chapter 48:12-13 (NKJV)

12."Listen to Me, O Jacob, and Israel, My called: I am He, I am the First, I am also the Last.

13.Indeed My hand has laid the foundation of the earth, and my right hand has stretched out the heavens; when I call to them, they stand up together."

Amen, thank you LORD.

In chapter 48, we see the LORD reminding His people of His all powerful and mighty nature. Something to note is God reminds His people, not their opposition or enemies, but His people of His unending love and the power to deliver them. Friend, this is the expression of God's faithfulness towards you. When He promises to deliver you from every scheme and plan of the enemy - believe Him.

Another reason God reminds His people of His power is to invalidate the clutter and noise that clouds the judgment of His people.In this chapter, we see God's people have previously wandered from His way, worshipping idols and partaking in all activities that would break any parent's heart but as a Father, God tells His people, He is willing to overlook that for the sake of love to redeem His own. Friend, this is the level of God's commitment concerning His children. Your sucess and well being are of paramount importance to God. The LORD God always has our best interests at heart and in Isaiah 48:17 NKJV, He says, "Thus says the LORD your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel: "I am the LORD your God, who teaches you to profit, who leads you by the way you should go."

Unfortunately, in the following verses, we see that the people did not yield to the LORD's commandments. Instead, they chose their own ways. As a result, the LORD tells His people that if they had chosen His way, they would have experienced an abundance of peace, righteousness and multiple descendants, their children filling up their land and glorifying His name (Isaiah 48:18-19). So we learn that in following God's way or His teaching, we shall find profit, peace, righteousness and an abundance that glorifies His name.

Nevertheless, God's people choosing their ways never deters His love. In Isaiah 48:20 NKJV, God continues to pursue His own and urges them to be separated from their enemies and rejoice with singing. That is, "Go forth from Babylon! Flee from the Chaldeans! With a voice of singing, declare, proclaim this, utter it to the end of the earth; say, "The LORD has redeemed His servant Jacob!" Today, the LORD is saying to you, rejoice, He has redeemed you! - Amen, thank you LORD.

Today, God is still pursuing His people in love. In fact, God loves you so much that He had to send Jesus Christ His Son to die for Your sin (John 3:16). When Jesus died on the cross, an exchange happened where in His painful crucifixion, He bore all your sin, wrongs, shortcomings, iniquity, mistakes and diseases. Jesus took them so you do not have to bear them and this is the reason when you receive Him, you are whole, healthy, complete in Him and reconciled in relationship with God, the Father now until eternity. If this sounds like you:

Please say this prayer;

"I believe with my heart and confess with my mouth that; Jesus Christ, the Son of God came in a human body to die for my sins so that I could have a new life where I am dead to sin and alive to God. I repent of my past sins and enter the Kingdom of light where I choose relationship with Jesus Christ as my Lord and Saviour and with God as my loving Father today and forever. Thank you Father that because the Son has made me free, I am now free indeed." AMEN.

NOW REJOICE, THE LORD HAS REDEEMED YOU!
