Genesis Ch.15

"Open up ancient gates, open up ancient doors and let the King of glory enter. Who is the King of glory? - The LORD of Heaven's Armies, He is the King of glory!" - Psalm 24:9-10 NLT.

Father, we thank you for this far that You have carried us! We recognize that it has not been our strength bur rather Your Mighty hand upon our lives, for it is not by power, not by might but by the Spirit of the LORD.

We continue to commit the rest of the year into Your able hands where no power of darkness can snatch what You have prepared for those that love You in the name of Jesus. We glorify Your holy Name Abba, we worship You Ancient of days, the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, and agree that may Your will be done on earth in our homes, churches, market places. communities, schools and nations as it is in heaven in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Thank you Abba for redemption into the Kingdom of the Son of Your love. Thank you LORD for open doors of your favor, healing, breakthrough, deliverance, restoration, provision, comfort for the broken hearted, love, revival and every other area of our lives in the name of Jesus, Amen.

YOU ALONE ARE WORTHY OF OUR PRAISE, ADORATION AND WORSHIP. Amen.

Today's post is from Genesis chapter 15 and herein we see God make an everlasting covenant with Abram.

Genesis 15:1 says, "After these things the word of the LORD came to Abram in a vision saying, "Do not be afraid Abram. I am your shield, your exceedingly great reward."

God, the Creator of heaven and earth tells a human being, He is their reward!

The beauty about Genesis is the law had not yet been given by God through Moses. This in turn means Abram did not have 'good works' to present before God to justify 'earning a reward'. However, the Bible tells us that Abram's faith is what give him right standing with God (Genesis 15:6 & Romans 4:3).

To elucidate this further, in Genesis 15:2, "But Abram said, "Lord GOD, what will You give me, seeing as I go childless, and the heir of my house is Eliezer of Damascus? Then the LORD God responded to Abram in Genesis 15:4-5 NKJV; "...This one shall not be your heir, but one who will come from your own body shall be your heir." Then He brought him outside and said, "Look now toward heaven, and count the stars if you are able to number them." And He said to him, "So shall your descendants be."

You and I may have witnessed a time when God answered prayers that you had no recollection of praying. At the same time, you're thankful that God was able to handle things that you never would have imagined or foreseen at the time.

The LORD answering Abram's request of beholding a biological child with his wife, Sarai, was not something that randomly appeared on God's time table because Abram asked but it was always on God's heart and because Abram asked, the LORD God was able to reveal His plans and purposes concerning the promised birth of Abram's biological child despite his wife who was at the time past child bearing age.

Friend, God knows each and every need of yours when you ask of Him and even before You ask of Him.

Psalm 37:4 (NKJV) says, "Delight in the LORD and He will give you the desires of your heart."

At the same time, Jesus Christ in Matthew 6:33 (NKJV) highlights something along the same lines and implores God's people to, "...seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you." Based on the above Scriptures, we see that giving or answered prayer is not a problem that the LORD God struggles with concerning His children. As a matter of truth, in Romans 8:32 (NKJV,) we are reminded that, "He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things?"

The question then becomes, do you know the purpose for the thing or prayer request that You are believing God for? As you delight yourself in the LORD, you get to know Him better, His plans for your life and as You seek first His Kingdom, everything that He blesses you with then becomes a mark of His trust towards you because He knows You will use it wisely for the glory of God's Kingdom. Child of God, you have the Creator of heaven and earth on your side, and if God is for you, who can be against you? (Romans 8:31).

So, in this month, I want you to think of each prayer request you may have and seek the LORD's plans and purposes on the matter for the glory of His Kingdom. And my prayer for you is may your heart align to God's heart for your life and may you be found a worthy steward in the Father's Kingdom in the name of Jesus, Amen. Hallelujah, Glory to God. Thank you LORD.

I'll end with Apostle Paul's benediction found in Romans 16:25-27 (NKJV)

"25.Now to Him who is able to establish you according to my gospel and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery kept secret since the world began

26.but now made manifest, and by the prophetic Scriptures made known to all nations, according to the commandment of the everlasting God, for obedience to the faith-

27.to God, alone wise, be glory through Jesus Christ forever. Amen."

GLORY TO GOD!

Invitation to salvation: Today, God's grace is still available and welcomes all who desire to know His heart of redemption through His one and only Son Jesus Christ. Because of Jesus Christ, every evil imagination of heart and all sins has been conquered on the cross and washed away by His precious blood. If this is you - I invite you to make this confession:

"I believe with my heart and confess with my mouth that; Jesus Christ, the Son of God came in a human body to die for my sins so that I could have a new life where I am dead to sin and alive to God. I repent of my past sins and enter the Kingdom of light where I choose relationship with Jesus Christ as my Lord and Saviour and with God as my loving Father today and forever." AMEN.

As always, I encourage you to read the full chapter of Genesis 15 and share your thoughts in the comments!

A blessed month to you and your loved ones!
