Father, thank you that this is the day that You have made and we shall be glad and rejoice in it. We thank you for the Word today and we ask that You open up the eyes of our understanding as we read and share today's Word in the name of Jesus, Amen. Thank you LORD.

Today, we are still looking at Genesis 30. After Rachel gave birth to Joseph, Jacob decides to peacefully leave his father-in-law's house (Genesis 30:25). He tells Laban, "Give me my wives and my children for whom I have served you, and let me go; for you know my service which I have done for you." (Genesis 30:26).

Laban was reluctant to let Jacob depart because he realized that God increased and blessed him because of Jacob's presence.

Jacob was a blessed man so wherever he went, the covenant of God's blessings followed him and it also flowed to those around him through the works of his hands.

When Laban asked Jacob whether he desired to be paid, Jacob requested for the speckled and spotted sheep and all the brown ones among the lambs, including the spotted and speckled among the goats as his wages (Genesis 30:32). Laban agreed with Jacob. After this conversation, Laban deceitfully removed all the speckled and spotted lambs and goats including the brown ones among the lambs and gave them to his sons (Genesis 30:35) instead of Jacob.

Despite Laban cheating Jacob of his wages, the LORD God continued to guide and surround Jacob with His presence. Jacob continued his work of taking care of Laban's flock and with God's wisdom, he 'developed a technology' where he supernaturally induced the flocks to conceive speckled and spotted young ones.

That is, "Now Jacob took for himself rods of green poplar and of the almond and chestnut trees, peeled white strips in them, and exposed the white which was in the rods. And the rods which he had peeled, he set before the flocks in the gutters, in the watering troughs where the flocks came to drink, so that they should conceive when they came to drink. So the flocks conceived before the rods, and the flocks brought forth streaked, speckled and spotted." (Genesis 30:36-39 NKJV).

This enabled Jacob to separate the brown lambs, the streaked, speckled and spotted goats and sheep as agreed with Laban. During this entire time, the LORD made sure to continually bless Jacob regardless of his circumstances and he became exceedingly prosperous with numerous herds of flocks, camels, donkeys, female and male servants (Genesis 30:43), just like his grandfather Abraham.

I'll end with this Word found in Hebrews 12:22-24 (NKJV)

22.But you have come to Mount Zion and to the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, to an innumerable company of angels,

23.to the general assembly and church of the first born who are registered in heaven to God the judge of all, to the spirits of just men made perfect,

24.to Jesus the Mediator of the new covenant and to the blood of sprinkling that speaks better things than that of Abel."

AMEN. Thank you LORD.

Prayer: Father, we thank you for this Word. We thank you that when You decide to bless Your children, nothing can oppose those blessings in the name of Jesus. We continue to praise Your holy name that You are faithful and still desire to bless Your sons and daughters today just like you did then with Jacob because of what Jesus Christ did for all of humanity when He died the cross, was buried and raised to life again.

So we ask that may You continue to increase and multiply all the works of our hands, our storehouses, businesses and work places for the glory of Your Kingdom in the name of Jesus. We ask that You continue to guide us with technological ideas and witty inventions just like you did with Jacob that contributed to his success. We thank you for open doors of access, business contracts and favour upon our lives and may Jesus Christ the Mediator of the new covenant and the blood of sprinkling speak better things concerning every area of our lives than that of Abel in the name of Jesus, Amen. Thank you LORD.

Invitation to salvation: If you would like to become a child of God where you obtain free access to receive all the blessings of God just like Jacob who was a man of covenant; I invite you to make this confession that invites you to even a better and new covenant that is found in the precious blood of Jesus Christ:

"I believe with my heart and confess with my mouth that; Jesus Christ, the Son of God came in a human body to die for my sins so that I could have a new life where I am dead to sin and alive to God. I repent of my past sins and enter the Kingdom of light where I choose relationship with Jesus Christ as my Lord and Saviour and with God as my loving Father today and forever." AMEN.

Congratulations, by grace you are saved and are now a new creation in Christ Jesus. The old life has passed away and you have received the free gift of salvation into your life (2 Corinthians 5:17) where you get to freely access everything I've shared in this post. To the glory of the Almighty God. Amen.
