Genesis Ch.1 - Part 3

Father God, we thank you for who You are in the name of Jesus. We thank you that in all things you remain God, the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. Thank you for that everything is known to you. We continue to commit our lives, the church, our nations and leaders into Your loving hands trusting and believing that You are able to keep that which is entrusted to You in the name of Jesus. We thank you that the earth and its fullness is in your hands, everything that was created was through Your One and Only Son, Jesus Christ. We ask that You take your rightful place in this world within our society and systems in the name of Jesus, Amen. Thank you LORD.

Welcome back! As promised, we are still looking at Genesis Ch. 1 and today, the focus Scriptures are from Genesis 1:26-28 which remind us of how we were created in God's image. 1 John 4:16 tells us that "...God is love..." This basically means that love is not something that God does. God is the true nature, embodiment and definition of love.

In case, you are wondering the ultimate expression and access to God's love is only found in Jesus. Jesus Christ, the One and Only Son of God is the expression of God's love. In John 14:6, Jesus reminds us that no one can come to God except through Him. When we receive Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour of our lives, it grants us access to our true identity that God originally created for us while we were still in the garden of Eden. We are not just children of God born out of love but we are the embodiment of love as we have been created in God's image which is love. For this reason, 1 John 4:17 reminds us, "Love has been perfected among us in this: that we may have boldness in the day of judgment; because as He is, so are we in this world."
