Father God, we thank you for Your Word that is truth, light and power in the name of Jesus. May You open up the eyes of our understanding as we read and share the Word today in the name of Jesus, Amen. Thank you LORD.
In my previous post, we saw God redeeming Adam and Eve by giving them a son, Seth, who replaced Abel. In Genesis 5, we see the genealogy of Adam and in his genealogy, Seth was created in the image of Adam's likeness. Interestingly, Cain and Adam's genealogy are mentioned separately in the Bible. The former's genealogy is mentioned in Genesis 4:16-24 while the latter's genealogy is highlighted in this chapter.
If we recall, in Genesis 2, we see that God had told Adam and Eve that if they ate of the forbidden fruit, they would surely die. The death that God was speaking about here was a spiritual death of communion, relationship and fellowship between Adam and God. Adam in his physical body lived till he was nine hundred and thirty years old (Genesis 5:5).
However, God did not give up on His own because we see redemption through Seth's son Enosh, who was the beginning of people calling on the name of the LORD again (Genesis 4:26).
I believe the birth of Enosh is an example of the manifestation of God's promise found in 1 Timothy 2:15 that says, a "women shall be saved through child bearing..." We see here that through the woman's giving birth, the LORD was able to raise up seed among His people to fulfill His plans and purposes of redemption here on earth. For instance, we see Enoch who was known to walk with God and departed the earth without a physical death due to the level of intimacy He had with the LORD God (Genesis 5:23-24).
Still under Adam's genealogy, we see a man called Noah, who was known as "This one will comfort us concerning our work and the toil of our hands, because of the ground which the LORD has cursed." (Genesis 5:29).

Invitation to salvation: If you would like to know this LORD who is Your Keeper and continually invites you to receive His love and grace without judgment of your past wrongs, but with His mercy, He does not remember your sins and seeks to protect you from the consequences of sin and condemnation; - I invite you to make this confession:
"I believe with my heart and confess with my mouth that; Jesus Christ, the Son of God came in a human body to die for my sins so that I could have a new life where I am dead to sin and alive to God. I repent of my past sins and enter the Kingdom of light where I choose relationship with Jesus Christ as my Lord and Saviour and with God as my loving Father today and forever." AMEN.
I'll end with this Word found in Psalm 91:14-16 (NKJV)
14."Because he has set his love upon Me, therefore I will deliver him; I will set him on high, because he has known My name.
15.He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him and honor him.
16.With long life I will satisfy him, and show him My salvation."
AMEN, Thank you LORD.

Amen
