Abba Father, we thank you for the story of Noah that reminds us of your mercy, love and redemption. Thank you as You mentioned to Noah, that You would never again cover the earth with flood waters. We ask for the ability to abide in Your love by walking in obedience to Your Word and may Your goodness and mercy follow us all the days of our lives in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Today, I'm sharing an overview of both chapters 9 & 10 of Genesis. As always, I highly recommend you read this blog alongside the chapters in your Bible so you are able to access the full revelation of God's heart in these chapters.

Genesis 9:1 begins with the LORD God blessing Noah and his sons by instructing them to be fruitful, multiply, and fill the earth. The same dominion God gave man at the beginning of creation was also reiterated and given to Noah and his sons (Genesis 9:2-3). However, God commanded Noah to not eat of animal's blood as the blood contains the life of the flesh (Genesis 9:4).

God also made a covenant to Noah, his sons that He would never again destroy the earth with a flood (Genesis 9:11) A rainbow was symbolic of this covenant that God made with Noah and his sons which is also binding on us today as children of God in the name of Jesus.

Later on, we see God's redemption plan revealed from the lineage of Noah and his three sons, Shem, Ham and Japheth. Genesis 9:19 re affirms this and says, "These three sons were the sons of Noah, and from these the whole earth was populated."

Today, God's grace is still available and welcomes all who desire to know His heart of redemption through His one and only Son Jesus Christ. Because of Jesus Christ, every evil imagination of heart and all sins has been conquered on the cross and washed away by His precious blood. If this is you - I invite you to make this confession:

"I believe with my heart and confess with my mouth that; Jesus Christ, the Son of God came in a human body to die for my sins so that I could have a new life where I am dead to sin and alive to God. I repent of my past sins and enter the Kingdom of light where I choose relationship with Jesus Christ as my Lord and Saviour and with God as my loving Father today and forever." AMEN.

I'll end with God's promise of His peace for you found in Isaiah 54:9 (NKJV)

"9.For this is like the waters of Noah to Me;

For as I have sworn that the waters of Noah would no longer cover the earth, so I have sworn that I would not be angry with you, nor rebuke you.

10.For the mountains shall depart and the hills be removed, but My kindness shall not depart from you nor shall my covenant of peace be removed," says the LORD, who has mercy on you."

AMEN. Thank you LORD.
