Isaiah 21

Praise be to God, for His mercy endures forever. Father, we thank you for this is the day that You have made and we shall be glad and rejoice in it. We thank you for Your mercy and love that are new every morning and as we commune and read the Word together, may You speak to our hearts and draw us closer to Your heart in the name of Jesus, Amen. Thank you LORD.

In chapter 21, we see a disturbing vision declared to the prophet about a future event that would befall another nation whose people had turned away from God. The watchman to whom the LORD revealed this vision is disturbed to the point that he feels like a woman who in labor with birth pangs (Isaiah 21:3). This watchman's feeling as odd as it may sound is a good thing. This is because it elicits compassion in him to intercede on behalf of the people for God's mercy. It is important to note that God is very merciful and will by no means cast away anyone who turns to Him. God is also slow to anger for He desires that all should be saved (2 Peter 3:9). In 1 John 5:14-15, we see the heart behind prayer. When we pray, God hears our prayers and it is His heart's desire to answer them.

In the book of Genesis 18:16-33, we see Abraham interceding on behalf of Sodom and Gomorrah for the LORD to relent on His judgment concerning their flagrant sin that called for God's judgment. Abraham told the LORD God, truly you are righteous and would not destroy the righteous with the wicked (Genesis 18:23). The LORD promised Abraham that if He found ten righteous people, He would not destroy Sodom and Gomorrah. Unfortunately, the city was destroyed because of its flagrant sin and the people were unwilling to turn their hearts to receive God's mercy. However, the LORD promised Abraham and indeed He rescued the righteous people from destruction that is, Lot and his daughters.

Today, what do you see around you that is happening in the world today that feels heavy on your heart? Could that be God's invitation to approaching him in the place of prayer to intercede on behalf of that issue. Friend, God is searching for who will partner with Him to bring more heaven on earth. God's desire is for Him to see more of heaven's peace, mercy, life, and love to mention some of the few God's promises found in Christ fully operational here on the earth.

But first of all, have you given your life to Christ? - This is a holy burden born out of love that only the LORD Jesus can place on your heart through personal relationship with Him.

Invitation to salvation: If you would like to get to know this loving and merciful God, I invite you to make another choice by choosing God's way through partaking of His blessings found in His One and Only Son Jesus Christ, I invite you to make this confession:

Please speak the words below:

"I believe with my heart and confess with my mouth that; Jesus Christ, the Son of God came in a human body to die for my sins so that I could have a new life where I am dead to sin and alive to God. I repent of my past sins and enter the Kingdom of light where I choose relationship with Jesus Christ as my Lord and Saviour and with God as my loving Father today and forever. Thank you Father that because the Son has made me free, I am now free indeed." AMEN.

Congratulations, by grace you are saved and are now a new creation in Christ Jesus. The old life has passed away and you have received the free gift of salvation into your life (2 Corinthians 5:17) where you get to freely access everything I've shared in this post. To the glory of the Almighty God. Amen.

PS: In case you have not already, I encourage you to read Isaiah chapter 21.

Please find a church or in case you already have one, become a member and get water baptized! God bless you!

I'll end with this Word found in 2 Chronicles 7:14 (NKJV)

"If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray, and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land."

AMEN, thank you LORD.
