Praise be to God for His mercy that endures forever. LORD God, today we thank You for who You are and Your majesty that has the power to bless, to set free, deliver, restore and redeem from the power of sin, death, hell and the grave. We give You all the glory, adoration and praise in the name of Jesus, Amen. Thank you LORD.
Today's lead Word is coming from Isaiah 25:8 (NKJV)
"He will swallow up death forever, and the LORD God will wipe away tears from all faces; the rebuke of His people He will take away from all the earth; for the LORD has spoken."
Amen, thank you LORD.
In this chapter, praise is given to God for the wonderful things that He has done expressed through His faithfulness and truth (Isaiah 25:1). In previous chapters, we saw the impending judgment of the LORD over all the disobedient nations and people spoken through the prophet, Isaiah. Isaiah chapter 25 is a breath of fresh air because it speaks of the LORD God's ultimate power and judgment concerning death.
It is important to note that death in its first form originated as spiritual death which was as a result of Adam and Eve's disobedience to God's instruction to not eat from the tree of good and evil. This disobedience was presented to them by the cunning serpent who told them that indeed they would not die if they ate of the forbidden fruit (Genesis 2:17). Adam and Eve did not physically die but a spiritual death took place.
This spiritual death is what separated them from God's presence because God is a holy God. It is important to note that spiritual death inevitably leads to physical death.
This is the reason that God sent His one and only Son Jesus Christ to die for the sins of the world. When Jesus came to the world, He was born into a family which represents His fully human side while at the same time, He was fully God.
Jesus was fully human so that we could know that He understands what it meant to live in a human body first hand which makes him the faithful High Priest who interecdes on our behalf of His people (Hebrews 2:16-18). Jesus also came into the world fully God to be the example and lead the way concerning the lifestyle of a believer in this world. Consequently, Jesus' life here on earth, His death on the cross, His burial, resurrection and ascension to heaven is the reason every child of God has life everlasting and eternal life. The sentence and curse of sin which ultimately leads to death is permanently removed from their life.
Most importantly, a relationship with Jesus when you accept Him as Lord and Saviour of your life reconciles you back to that place of oneness and fellowship with God just like Adam and Eve enjoyed in the garden of Eden before they were tempted to disobey God by the evil one.
Finally, in today's lead scripture above, we see Jesus' prophecy as the One returning to the earth a second time to swallow up death forever.
If you would like to be born of God, please say this prayer with me; I believe with my heart and confess with my mouth that; Jesus Christ, the Son of God came in a human body to die for my sins so that I could have a new life where I am dead to sin and alive to God. I repent of my past sins and enter the Kingdom of light where I choose relationship with Jesus Christ as my Lord and Saviour and with God as my loving Father today and forever. Thank you Father that because the Son has made me free, I am now free indeed." AMEN.
Congratulations, by grace you are saved and are now a new creation in Christ Jesus. The old life has passed away and you have received the free gift of salvation into your life (2 Corinthians 5:17) where you get to freely access everything I've shared in this post. To the glory of the Almighty God. Amen.
I'll end with this Word found in 1 John 5:4-5 (NKJV)
"4.For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world - our faith.
5.Who is he who overcomes the world, but he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?"
AMEN. AMEN. AMEN. ALLELUIA. GLORY TO GOD.
