Who is God to you?

Updated: Feb 24

Father God, we thank you for the Word and thank you because the entrance of Your Word brings light so we thank you for revelation and redemption of time that is taking place for all your sons and daughters as they read the Word today In the name of Jesus.

Today's Word is from John 13:20 and Jesus says,

"Most assuredly, I say to you, he who receives whomever I send receives Me; and he who receives Me receives Him who sent Me."

Amen.

Having a relationship with someone, is usually two sided. As it is with human relationships, allow me to submit to you that it is the same with God. So today, the question is, 'who is God to you?' When I gave my life to Christ, I realized that it was possible to know about God, pray to Him and most certainly have no connection with Him. God knew me but I did not know Him.

Jesus Christ, the Son of God tells us that when anyone receives Him, they receive God, the Father who sent Him. This tells us that knowing about God is not the same as having a relationship with God as your Father.

The Oxford dictionary defines a relationship as "a state in which two or more concepts, objects, or people are connected, or the state of being connected."

Friend, God is not looking for religion but a relationship with you. As a matter of fact, there are no religious sects mentioned in the Bible but they are several references that God is love and He loves you.

When Jesus was responding to a question asked by one of His disciples, He told him in John 14:6 "Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me."

This shows that a direct relationship of connection with God as a loving Father only comes through receiving the grace of God found in His One and Only son Christ by faith, who came and died for our sins so that we could be one with the Father, God. When you receive Christ, you receive salvation where your sins are forgiven and also obtain eternal life which means death no longer has a hold on you because of the precious blood of Jesus Christ that grants you access to heaven.

Receiving Christ into your life also means salvation grants you direct access to God which presents you with an opportunity of intimacy with Him where He is no longer just God to you, but a loving Father and you are His beloved son or daughter. Jesus in John 10:30 reminds us, "I and my Father are one." When you become one with Christ, you become one with the Father.

Thankfully, this personal relationship with God as a Father is unconditional, free for every person to receive and without any qualifications. This is because His One and Only Son Jesus Christ paid the price on the cross that no merit, good reputation, culture, religion, tradition, status quo or amount of good works could ever fulfill.

I'll end with this Word in Ephesians 2:4-5 NKJV

"4.But God who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us,

5.even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved,)"

AMEN. Thank you Father.

Invitation to salvation: If you would like to know about God, the Father who from the beginning of creation has always desired to grow in personal relationship with you through His only Son Christ who saved you from sin, by dwelling on the inside of you, to provide wisdom, knowledge, light and be included in the blessings of Christ Jesus as His son and daughter with Him as your loving Father - I invite you to make this confession:

"I believe with my heart and confess with my mouth that; Jesus Christ, the Son of God came in a human body to die for my sins so that I could have a new life where I am dead to sin and alive to God. I repent of my past sins and enter the Kingdom of light where I choose relationship with Jesus Christ as my Lord and Saviour and with God as my loving Father today and forever." AMEN.

Congratulations, by grace you are saved and are now a new creation in Christ Jesus. The old life has passed away and you have received the free gift of salvation into your life (2 Corinthians 5:17). To the glory of the Almighty God. Amen. Please feel free to reach out to us on info@bibleversionoflife.com. We would love to hear your story and send you a free Bible! God bless you.
