Resurrection Sunday
Updated: Apr 13, 2023
On this Easter weekend, today's lead Scripture is from Luke 24:44-45 and these were Jesus' words to the Apostles after His resurrection from the dead
44.Then He said to them, "These are the words which I spoke to you while I was still with you, that all things must be fulfilled which were written in the Law of Moses and the prophets and the Psalms concerning Me. 45.And He opened their understanding, that they might comprehend the Scriptures."
AMEN.
Resurrection Sunday is a reminder of God's everlasting love story for creation and humanity through sending His One and Only Son Jesus Christ to die for us so that we could be saved. This love story is so powerful that it was written thousands of years before Jesus' birth by the law of Moses, the Psalms and the prophets spoke about His coming and desired to be apart of a time where Jesus had come, died for us and defeated the power of death, sin and the grave. Isaiah the prophet prophesied in Isaiah 25:8 "He will swallow up death forever, and the LORD God will wipe away tears from all faces..." What a blessing it is for you, God's beloved ,to be alive at such a time as today.
Praise be to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ who has given us every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places because we are united with Christ Jesus (Ephesians 1:3). Apostle Paul in Ephesians 3:18-19 tell us how we "...may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height - to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you maybe filled with all the fullness of God."
Prayer: Heavenly Father, we thank you for love. Truly, you are the origin of pure and true love that demands nothing from us but only gives. You gave us Your One and Only Son so that we could have everlasting life, thank you. Thank you that because of Jesus Christ, everything is working out for our good. May You Abba Father continue to give us more revelation and understanding of the Scriptures and most importantly know how to receive and rest in Your love through our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ so that we can be filled with Your fullness In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
I'll end with this Scripture in 1 John 4:18-19
"18.There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment.
But he who fears has not been made perfect in love.
19.We love Him because He first loved us."
Amen. Thank you LORD.
